Monguí is a town and municipality in Boyacá Department, Colombia, part of the Sugamuxi Province a subregion of Boyaca.
As you wander through the cobblestone streets, you'll feel as if you've stepped back in time. Monguí is known for its well-preserved colonial architecture, with many of the buildings dating back to the 16th century. The town's main square, Plaza de los Libertadores, is a great place to start your exploration. Here you'll find the beautiful Santa Bárbara Church, a must-see for its intricate carvings and stunning altar.
One of the town's most unique features is its handmade soccer balls. Monguí has been producing these traditional balls for over 100 years, and they are still made by hand using locally sourced materials. You can visit one of the workshops to see the process firsthand and even purchase a ball to take home as a souvenir.
